All,
Ken Dunn has gotten the scoreboard boxes fixed and you can now keep score upstairs or downstairs behind home plate on both the large and small softball fields. Brandi has purchased two metal carts to keep the score boxes on so it's easy to roll them out and hook them up for the games. Since the corner room is so packed, let’s try to keep the softball carts in the stairwell of the Gully press box. It's a lot closer to your fields to store them in that location. If you do not have a key to that door, Ron has a key that he keeps in the concession stand. It's Key #4. Don't put the key in your pocket or you'll forget to return it! Please remember to put away the scorekeeping equipment and lock the press box door at the end of the evening.
I'll be hooking up the additional speaker wire and we'll add the sound equipment to the carts so you can announce the players as they come to bat and/or play music between innings.
Please use this equipement. It's important to the girls. It makes for a more professional looking game and our young ladies deserve the best! Also, the time and money we spent to make keeping score as convenient as possible on our parents needs to be money well spent. I'd hate to see us spend hundreds of dollars and invest hours of work only to notice nobody is willing to punch a few buttons during the games.
If you have any questions on how to set up or take down the score keeping boxes, call me (or Brandi). It's really very simple.
